Home Sweet Home!

So yes Dean I have been slacking a bit, having fun not working but I will make up for it when the spring gets here,and it feels like that will be soon. Today was a hot day here in SLC and alot of the fresh snow we have gotten in the past week melted today. I had an amazing weekend, it started with taking Skyler boarding which it is so cute to see him shredding. Then my friends Hiedi,Olena Niel, and Roman came into town from Chicago and Cali for some riding and kiting,so I took them up to Solitude to start with. The snow wasnt that fresh but we still had a great time and we tore that mountain up.We did manage to find some pow in the trees and honeycomb canyon.Then my good friend/roommate Woodie took Heidi,Roman and I for some snowkiting.That was my 3d time ever trying out this new sport and its wierd and exciting to be a newb at something. It started out with me getting throttled as usual,but Heidi after helping me untangle all my lines calmed me down gave me some inspiration and I went after it and had an unbeleivable time thanx Heidi!! I cant believe how fast you can get going on those things, and how far you can go. We were going long distance over rolling hills with about 6 inches of freesh on top of hard pack and it was gorgeous.So all in all it was a wonderful weekend and I cant wait for the next one. The weather is getting better here so we are gonna go flying soon. All you pilots out there get a hold of me if you want a weather update, Im sure I will be seeing you soon. :) And all you non-pilots come out and go tandem with me! Brrr!

I am back in Salt Lake City and its cold and smoggy, thats ok its paradise to me because I am surrounded by family and freinds. Things aren't as exciting here as they are in Mexico and I am ok with that, I needed a break from the chaos. Since I have been home I have spent every minute with Skyler and am taking him snowboarding today for his first time that should be fun.And tomorrow I am going either snowboarding or kiteboarding Im not sure which. I have a few friends from out of state here for the weekend that I am going to show around,its a great year here for winter activities so if anyone wants to come and play let me know.

Back in the good old USA!!!

We pulled into Pheonix last night at 3 in the morning =) and its great to be back. Old Betsy started making a new noice up in the front end early in the trip and we thought oh god here we go again, but we were able to limp her back even with the crappy Mexican highways.The new motor works great! We got searched a few times by Mexican Military, and a nice thorough search at the US border,fun stuff.I will be flying home asap, my phone is turned on so call me if you want.I will be hangin with Kiosk Glen in the mean time, cold weather here I come.

Back in Guadalajara

So we are back in the smoggy unfriendly city from hell, we checked out the van and its almost all back together,so we should be out of here by tomorrow afternoon. :) I took this down time to post a few more links

last day in PV

The mechanic is gaurunteeing us that the van will be fixed by tomorrow so we are going to head to Guadalajara first thing in the morning and hopefully be on our way. We have learned that Sunday is a bad day to travel its like the tax day for gringos or something but we are going for it anyways, hopefully we dont get pulled over and shookin down anymore. If everything goes right we will be crossing the border on Tue into Arizona, then I am going to meet up with a friend there and fly out of Pheonix. I am done driving. So I should be home by Thur. I am excited to get back to the good old USA. Mexico is nice but no where beats home.

Puerto Vallarta!

SO after a few days of suffering in the smog in Gualadalajara Kevin and I decided it would be much better to wait for the new motor to get fixed in Puerto Vallarta :) I have never been here before but what an amazing place it is. It is a paradise, with lots to do. Supposedly the van will be fixed tomorrow. We will see. A major rebuild is a big job. Dont worry about me I am having an amazing time while waiting.Our motto is lets turn lemons into lemoneade.
